I am tentatively planning on going to San Diego in January, with my kids. I have already planned this with my Ex...they will spend the time with him and I was going to spend time with the Jan06ers. I have no intention of going back and telling him that the plans are off. I propose those of us who are interested in going to S.D. in January (pick a week, PLEASE), do so and those who don't, don't. It doesn't have to be a convention, it doesn't have to be a huge planned out thing. Just pick a date, a place and show up. Even if no one else shows, I can spend time at the hotel...NO KIDS, no hubby...maybe I'll just pamper myself cuz God knows I could stand that right now. As for Secret Pals, my SP will still be receiving support from me. Chele

Yes, this is a lovely idea. I really like the sound of this. We can meet up at certain times and places or not. It can be very loose. I'm just so looking forward to meeting everybody----no matter our differing opinions---I have benefitted by everyone here. What is the date you are proposing and where are you staying? I'll get a ticket and find a room there or someplace nearby. I'm all about some spa time, some shopping, maybe a little trip to Balboa Park or the zoo. I may be with my family, so we'd catch up with you when it fits. Cathy
