I had my checkup the other day and specifically asked the surgeon how many calories I should be getting in at this point. she said 1000. I said i was sure I wasnt getting half of that in, she said she thought I probably was so I started keeping track on fit day again and a typical day is more like 450 cal so guess I will up them a bit and see if the weight comes off any quicker. I am right on target as far as all the charts go so not to worried either way and my labs were super. Kim

How are you getting all your protein in at that low calorie count? Congratulations on the great labs!

she said I was doing good. I wasnt trying to go that low in calories, I do alot of that carb master yogurt and eggbeaters so that might count for the low calories and the higher protein. I am making a attempt to add a bit more calories as this may be why I stall out so often. I really thought I got a bit more than what I am but knew there was no way I got the 1000-1200. I guess I just need to add my snacks back in because I cannot eat more at a sitting than what I do. I also need to pick up my exercise a bit more. have slacked these past 2 weeks because of lower back pain. Kim

Renee, this is the first time I have got anything except the water and protein. I specifically asked her on the calorie bit. She usually has me tell her what a typical day is and then makes suggestions. I told her tomatoe soup for lunch and she said that was 200 cal for a serving, I said not the one I eat, it is 100 cal for a cup and I usually only get down 3/4. sugar content is not bad in progresso (I do fine with it) so thats when I said well exactly how many calories should I be getting in. I know we are all following different doctors orders but it is nice to get some feedback from others. Kim

Kim: IS there a chart that says how much we should be losing? I would love to see that! (Or...maybe I wouldn't!!). Please let me know. Thanks! Jersey Mom

Jersey Mom, the chart I go by that must be identical to my surgeons is right on this site. the post op planner. According to it I am about 5# below what the projected loss should be. Thats the same as the surgeon has me so I guess I am right on target. Kim
