not eating enough calories at 3.5 months out

Hi everyone! Well I am down 82 lbs as of this morning however my nutritionalist informed me that I am not eating enough-imagine that, I have never been told that before She said since I am doing 45 min of exercise per day and weights 3x per week that I need to at least eat 1000 calories per day at 3 months out-ugh- when I looked at my food journals I dont eat nearly that-I do get in my 80 grams of protein per day along with over 100oz of H2O, I drink 2 isopure shakes per day(210 calories total) and then 3-4 other 2 oz meals like tuna, chicken, cheese etc that are only around 100 calories each--does anyone have any suggestions on what else to add and eat? I dont want to stop losing but I also dont want to prevent myself from losing either by not eating enough. Thanks for any and all advice! Lori

You can add calories by sprinkling cheese on food. It's also a great source of calcium and has protein too. Bridget

I agree with Renee...I think WLS for Dummies has some great suggestions! How about adding whole wheat toast along with the tuna? Or some lite Mayo along with it? Apple slices with peanut butter or cheese? Nuts? Chele

you say you eat 2 to 3oz. of food per meal. Is that what you measure yourself? Try eating a little more with each meal. Add something soft, it is easier to eat more of that. Something like refried beans.

Lori, I wanted to ask you...does your nutritionist reside in the camp that essentially states that if you don't get enough calories in, your body will go into "starvation mode"? I know there are different opinions on this and to be honest, I am on the fence! I really don't know what to believe, but I'm wondering if it's true (for me!) just by my past experiences. Chele
