I was wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of the excess skin by exercising under the arm. I have the "old lady flab" and also on the inner thighs. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Sue 242/185/???

Great question Sue... I have looked and looked and talked til I am blue...simply we may never get it totally gone but there is hope. Depending on HOW excess the skin is all you have to do is to retrain it to go where it is suppose to go...best suggestion from my surgeon: Compression sleeves. Also he said to wear tight pants (smaller legs) or body girdles to hold in stomach and thighs. As we excercise (more cardio than sit ups) our bodies will gradually get there. If sever over weight, surgery may be nexessary after a year or so. There has been up to 60 lbs of excess SKIN removed..from sites I have been to. I know I can not look at myself naked I have something on even if it is bra and panties before I look in the mirror. I have noticed that when I work out I am sweating more. I have goal pictures of people who have lost lots of weight (befores and afters) to see where I want to be in a year. And yes I am looking into tummy tuck and breast augumentation to help complete that picture... i did not weigh much but I am small and the weight I had was too much. I laughed at myself the other day casue I was thing of flying squirles an my skin flapping in the wind that I might take flight... I have started jump roping, korean hoolahoop (ouch), and roller skating. All these use every muscle and you will find some you never knew you had.....of course talk to your doctor to see what you are able to do. Hope this help...we should start a flappy forum...minus my skin I'd be a size 2..ha ha love Deborah
