Four Month Check Up (last week)
Just letting everyone know that my four month check up went great. The doctor seemed please with my results, down 63 lbs. This was my second appt. since surgery so it was exciting to get there and see what he had to say. My blood pressure was down as well. He said he wanted to see me back in three months. I thanked him for being such a great surgeon and let him know how important he was as a doctor because I haven't had any complications. I think that brought a smile to his face. Anyways, nothing exciting to report on which is probably a good thing!

Hi Karen, congratulations on the great checkup. You are doing really great with your weight loss.
I am also one that my bloodpressure has been down, I am still on my meds. and have a appointment with my PCP on the 24th, I hope to get off these meds.
Sounds like you have a wonderful doctor like me,I have not had any complications either. my daughter is in the process of having surgery, she is 33 and has two wonderful boys. She is going to the same surgeon. This is all a little nerve racking until the surgery is approved by the insurance.
She has no major health problems but her BMI is in the 50's so the surgeon said that should do it for the insurance to approve it.
I had my surgery 1/20/06 and go back to the surgeon in August also. I have lost about 56 lbs., and I am thrilled.

Thank you Rosemary. Sounds like you are doing really great and on track. I am sure your blood pressure will be down when you go to your appt. on the 24th. Can't wait to hear about it. I hope everything goes well with your daughter. The process of getting to have this surgery can be trying at times especially with insurance. At least she has you to turn to for support!
