back on pureed foods

No, not because of any problem with surgery. I now have braces! (they don't have an emoticon with braces) I've been self concious about my smile for years. I told my dentist that I feel like smiling all the time now but I have never had a pretty smile. He and the orthodontist are going to give me a pretty smile!!! I'm a 51 y/o brace face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I heard one of the techs telling another woman to eat soft foods like mashed potatoes and I thought "what about pintos & cheese, cottage cheese, and yogurt?" LOL

You are to funny Susan. Those braces work wonders I remember when I had them.

Glad to hear you didn't have anything serious going on but that's a big step getting braces. Hey you and I are the same age! You are going to have a beautiful smile when this is all over although I'm sure you already have one. Should make you feel like a teenager again. Karen S.

HI Susan! I just got my braces off last February...Id been in a bad car accident.rear-ended by a trucker who dropped his cellphone and was bending down to pick it up..didnt notice us ahead, signalling a left turn..sheesh! demilished our big Buick..my teeth shifted and i had spaces between my teeth and since I do public speaking, and my lips would get caught between my teeth, his insurance had to pay for my braces..now Im always being complimented on my smile again! My sons called me metalmouth! *s* btw, I was 56-57 then! Nancy B no longer a brace face!

There is no way I would guess you were anywhere near your 50s much less late 50s. You look wonderful! I'm glad they made his insurance pay - sorry you had to go through that. Neither of my kids have seen my braces yet. I think they still don't believe I was serious about doing it. I'll see them tomorrow.
