I think I am stuck

HELP! I think I hit a plateu and am hating it. It has been about 2.5 weeks and I keep bouncing between 269 and 267lbs .I am going nuts I have worked out more and drank more water,protein and started tracking my carbs and calories this week but nothing has helped,I want this over with.Any suggestions? Joy

Step away from the scale. We all hit stalls. I have had ones that last 3 weeks. If this is your first, then you are lucky. You have to just let the body do what it needs to do, you will start loosing again. If you have worked out more, you probubly have more muscle and it weighs more than fat. Also, have you taken measurements? You will drop inches when you aren't dropping pounds. As long as you are following the rules, then you will continue to loose weight. We are all going to slow down some now, it is just the way it is. Oh and make sure you don't eat too few calories too. At least 800 a day or you go into starvation mode and wont drop anything.

Hey Joy: I just left (hopefully!!) my FOURTH stall since my surgery and this recent one last almost 3 weeks. But then I lost 2 lbs overnight. I have not weighed myself yet today but I am hoping for another loss. Please know that I TOTALLY sympathize with what you are going through. It SUCKS when you do not lose weight...it totally, totally sucks...but it WILL get better! Keep your chin up! Love and hugs, Jersey

Me too! I have had up to 3-week stalls - but then it drops again. My best form of defense is to stay off the scale. Sometimes my clothes fit looser even though the scale doesn't change. It all varies so much, but in the long run, we are all going down!

Thanks I decided to track everything I was eating on Fitday.com and realized I was getting to much calories and way more then enough Protein so I cut back on my Protein drinks which cuts alot of calories and as of this morning I was down finally so I intend on doing that for a few weeks to see how it works but I was so fustrated. Joy

This is my 3rd plateau but it has never lasted this long befor so I was getting pretty ticked off .So I decided to chart everything and exercise a little less a few days then kick it in to high gear and this morning when I got up I had gone down to 265lbs so I have no idea what it was but I did realize that I was getting a lot of calories in a day due to 2 protein drinks a day plus I was getting it in food so I cut back on the protein drinks and am just eating normally and everything is ok so far. Joy
