Ok.... well my parents have spoken, lol... no dress for 4th of July. They don't wanna spend the moolah on something that will need to be resized over and over again. I understand their point, I really do! So now that I'm working two jobs, I've decided to celebrate my 150 pound weight loss (just 12 more pounds to go) and get myself an iPod or MP3 player. Personally, I'd love a pink one, but don't know ANYTHING about the little gadgets. Does the Apple one work well with regular pcs? I have a dell and not an apple computer, would I still be able to use it to get my songs? how do I get songs on my little guy? What happens!? What size? There are like 3 in the normal iPod catergory and they're 300 and less. Then there is an Ipod Nano and yet a shuffle! What the heck!? LOL! Or should I scrap the ipod and look into a regular mp3 player? Are they the same kind of thing???????? Ok, lots of questions here... I'd appreciate any help you can give me!!!

I had both an Ipod Shuffle and two regular MP3 Players. I have to say that I found the regular Mp3 Player that I bought to be the easiest to download/upload songs onto. They are kindof the same thing with different opertating programs. You can use an IPOD with your Dell computer, you just have to install the program that comes with it. I don't know much about the other two Ipod products but the suffle was pretty good when I had it (it got stolen) Jesse bought me an MP3 player for christmas that wasn't the best quality so I bought myself a Samsung brand player that holds something like 150 songs. Now I wish I had bought the player that has the arm band on it like his. Don't know if this was much help. Dana

Jac: Okay...I can talk your EAR OFF about the iPod. I am head over freakin' heels in love with mine (I am on my third). I had the first generation iPod and loved it. I won an iPod mini that I gave to my hubby and now I have the iPod video. Apple is VERY irritating with their proprietary music format (iTunes does not use the .mp3 format). That being said, there is nothing else bad about the iPod. It is classy looking...solid...brilliant. I do not have a MAC and iTunes works fine for me. Updating the iPod is a snap. There are so many accessories for it it is not even funny. I personally would not go for the Shuffle (to limited) but the Nano is CUUUUTE and, well...like I said, I can go on and on and on about the iPod. When people have surveys and ask, "What one gadget can you not live without," my answer is, without a doubt, always MY IPOD. If you want any additional information, feel free to shoot me an email. Total, complete, iPod-***** Jersey

Jac: It is not that tiny...it IS very thin...but I am not sure that you would lose it because of its size. Trust me, if you owned it...you would NOT be losing it! Jersey

Hi Jaci! My husband bought me an iPod 30gb with video for Christmas. When we went to Mexico to have our surgery in January, he had downloaded a ton of TV shows and music. It was great to have, because all the television in Mexico was in Spanish. Now I mostly use it in the car (it plugs into the cigarette lighter) to play music or to work out. Mine is black, I think it only comes in black or white but I have a bunch of different color skins to fit over it. We have regular pc computers and it works fine. But I admit I leave all the downloading to him. Bridget
