Are any of the rest of you expereincing 'exhaustion'? I'm taking my vitamins and my B12 faithfully; but I am just pooped. I had a hysterectomy 20 years ago; so I don't have 'iron issues'...... At the moment, I could just crawl under my desk and go to sleep............what I wouldn't give for a Diet Coke with CAFFEINE Rose

Hi Rose, In recent weeks I have had the same thing. It gets better when I take extra b12 (always in the AM!) and an occassional extra vitamin. I also am focusing on nutrient rich foods - for some reason I am craving strawberries which have high iron in them. Otherwise, I just allowed myself to rest and sleep. I made my sleep environment the best it can be in terms of temp, darkness - and during my awake hours I always get my heart rate up once a day with the treadmill. Its passing but for 3 weeks I was always in a zone.... Hope you feel better and my experience spurs helpful ideas for you. Tiffany

I too, have had lots of trouble with this...an extra iron supplement is what seemed to help me, and exercise. I know it sounds weird, but if I can get myself to take a walk when I feel tired, it seems to boost my energy...Hang in there, it will get better.

I sorry you feel so pooped. I can't explain it either but exercise does boost your metabolism. Not RIGHT away though...for me it took about a week for it to start working. As for the caffeine...as long as you are drinking 64oz+ of UNcaffeinated beverages...go ahead and treat yourself to a glass of tea or something. Dawn

I also am always pooped. I still have trouble sleeping. Now I fall asleep but wake up a few hours later and can't fall back to sleep - it sucks. After my first bloodwork at 3mos postop I found that I had low iron levels and the doc put me on an iron supplement. I really was surprised cause I dont have a menstral period any longer either Have you had your iron checked? The added iron didn't make much difference for me but you never know. Regards and hugs, Ronna

HI Rose, I was also experiencing the same thing and found out that the reason I was so tired was due to the fact that I wasnt eating enough protein. I was eating what I was told to as far as the 64 oz but doc told me to up it. Since then I have been alot better and now can sleep through the night and feel rested in the morning. Also I am not tired throughout the day anymore. Otherwise like the other ones have said I would have it checked. Are we not supposed to have caffeine? I know no carbonated beverages. Just wondering! Hope this helps! Sue
