Hi guys, this is gross but I had my first experience last night of vomitting from eating too much or eating too fast. I started cramping and it wouldn't move until it came up. I thoguht I was going to die. All I could think of was "Oh, no I've messed up my surgery". Has anyone else ever gone through this and how to keep it from ever happening again? Octavia

We've probably all been through it at some point. I know when I've eaten to much because I start getting a pain in the middle of my chest right below my breast bone. If I don't stop eating I will throw up. Sooooooo I stop eating and it usually settles in a few minutes. Anna

A revamp on the words of an old 60's song. "Slow down, don't eat to fast, you've got to make the moment last." The actual words are "Slow down, don't move to fast, you've got to make the morning last." But you see. No, really. If you slow down and eat slowly and chew each bite well, you are less likely to eat to much. The same thing can occur if you haven't chewed your food well enough. I am guilty on all accounts and therefore know of what I speak. Hazel

Ah Hazel, Feeling Groovy. You think that will help me slow down? I know that's my issue

Thanks Anna and Hazel I was craving a fried chicken salad and I thought I was eating slowly and chewing well but the cramps started all of a sudden. Do you think it could've been the chicken strips that were in there? Octavia

Have you eaten anything fried before? It might have been that. I am impressed that this is the first time this has happened to you! It means you are MUCH better at eating slowly than I am!! I think it's a process of slowly figuring out what our pouch can tolerate and then going in that direction. And unfortunately it's kind of an individual thing. Wouldn't it be great if they had a list that said, this will go down fine and this will come back up? haha.

It could have been, you know the grease and all. Maybe you just need to back off from that for awhile. I have trouble with chicken most of the time, unless it is nuggets with the breading taken off or homemade chicken salad. Hazel

It was probubly the fat. I have to be careful with fat. It causes cramps and I have thrown up on it. It could have also been it just didn't sit well today. Chicken will do that also to me. You probubly didn't eat too fast or too much, just the wrong food. Stay away from fats, especially fried foods. I also have to watch salad dressings, too much fat in them too and I or feel like it anyway.
