are you a chatter box??
Hi,
I know many of us like to talk....lets face it, it's just natural. And high phone bills are the worst. And not natural.
Well, I am hooked on Skype, telephony which is phone thru the internet. yes, you have to be at your computer to talk (or pay to have it thru your phone...for now, anyway) but its FREE to talk with one another online.
Further if you use it to call a land line (in North America) its free until the end of the year. You can do chat/conference calls, too, form groups, do IM and all that good stuff. Its really big in Europe and gaining strength in the US. I talk for hours to people around the world and it does not cost anything. FREE.
So I toss this out there as an idea for those of us who are making and getting to know our new family.

Hi there Anna!!
I lived in Anchorage for nearly 30 years til last year when we moved here to Nebraska. My sister is in Anchorage still with her family and my brother lives in Palmer. My parents are snowbirds and live between there in Soldotna and in Oklahoma in the autumn and winter. I loved it there but I am glad to be here and really enjoy the change. What took you there??
Steph
My husband was in the AF. we were stationed there from 1989-1997. My daughter didn't want to move when we left so she stayed and since then has gotten married and had kids. We usually go up at least once a year to visit them. We loved it up there too.. We used to have to go to Soldotna every summer because that was the only place that had DQ! We live in IL now..about 20 miles from St Louis..we love it here there is so much to do.
Anna
sorry didn't mean to ramble on and on..lol
The same reason we moved there too, my dad was stationed there in 74 and we were there all except for about 3-4 years after that. I have only been to illinois 2 times I think and that was just passing through on vacation or moving again!! You know what?? Soldotna is still the only place up there that has a DQ left, there used to be one on Muldoon, I worked there for 2 years before it closed down. I used to love them!! Take care, and hey ramble all you want, I dont mind a bit!
Steph
