Ok guys, you know how "touchy" the gain/lose situation is with me...So I go to Curves today, yes I admit I have not been for 5 days, but have been walking instead. I did, however go there on Monday to get my weight for the challenge, as I do not have a scale at home. So I step on the scale today and up, up, up, up, I am like WT*, I am thinking, I really have been eating a lot less, (not hungry because of the heat), walking, etc., but not getting in my water..but the whole time I am working out, I am getting more frustrated and scared (am I backed up or something)? I finally say to the owner of Curves, is it actually possible to gain 6 pounds in 2 days...she looks at the scale and says "It's off-balance" let me fix it". THANK YOU LORD..... and I now know how to make sure it is in balance before I step on that thing again....

You know Marsha, I think for your own Mental Health you need to take a break from the scale. Don't step on it for a month and then you will get a nice surprise. The day to day stuff is messing with your mind:crazy. Give yourself a break sweetie Regards and hugs, Ronna

And on the sparce times that you do weigh, be sure to do it at the same time - preferably in the AM, after BM and before food/water. Just to give you an idea of the variances, weight 3 bottles of water. You'll see that it comes to about 5 lbs. So if you weight after drinking a lot of water, you'll be higher just be default. Use the same scale each time - or if you are tempted at curves, mentally 'dont count' what you see........ If I am feeling defeated I step away from the scale for two weeks and as Ronna said, when you come back its a nice feeling rather than regular angst. Hope you're feeling better about your wonderful accomplishments so far!!!
