weight loss?
Hi All, I have lost 70 lbs. since surgery on 1/20/06. Is this about the average weight loss all of you are having. i see some of you have lost a lot more than that. I am 58 and i think to a degree, age may make a difference.
I am pleased with the 70lbs., but I am so anxious to have it all off.
Take care, Rosemary
Rosemary you are doing fantastic. I'm right there with you. I'm 53 and my surgeon told me that due to my age and health situation that I would probably lose a bit slower than the youngsters.
Well I've lost 81 pounds so far and I'm pretty pleased with that
Keep up the great work!
Regards and hugs,
Ronna

Rosemary, you are doing great. I heard, I think from the nutritionist at my doctors after the first month on average they hope for women to lose about 10 lbs. Getting ready for surgery I lost 20. From the surgery date until now I have lost about 63 lbs and I am 24 years old.
I think it depends on a lot of things such as what your weight was when you started.
I had surgery on January 11 and to date I have lost almost 60 pounds. I am 42 years old. I've been a little disappointed by my weight loss. The first 30 pounds was really fast, but the balance has been slow going. I struggle to get all the protein in ... my WLS program wants me to get in 80-90 grams/day. Is that average for everyone else? I do pretty good with the water on most days. And I'm exercising 4 times a week. I know I don't always make the best food choices, so that might be hindering me some. I need to start a food diary again to keep closer track on everything. If anyone has any advice, please let me know.
Hi and welcome! My surgery was Jan 11 and I am at 62 lbs so we're at the same pace, too. we are doing a Vegas trip in January, Ann E is leading the tshirt initiative, there was a post a few days ago about a phoenix - with a smile. We'd love to have your involvement in the event!!
My sister lives in Chesapeake, nice area!
