For those of you who have hit a true plateu: How long did yours last and did you do anything different in your opinion to get the weight loss to start up again? I havent lost for almost 2 1/2 weeks so I am thinking that its a plateu-although its my first time not losing since surgery it is still frustrating - any advice would be greatly appreciated-thanks- Lori

I was on a plateau for an entire month. It was early out (2 months post op) and it was hell. I did everything right during that time, and did not change anything to catalyze the losing. I did go see my doctor, who just said so long as I kept on the diet and exercise plan he assigned me that I would see results. I hated it, it was hard, I thought for certain I had failed... but nope, I kept going and it did not fail me. Just keep thinking that physically it is impossible to be consuming so few calories with out losing weight. Good luck! Mary

I've been on a plateu for about a month now.. It's frustrating and depressing..but I went shopping today ... I'm trying to find a dress for a friends retirement tomorrow.. I had no luck in finding anything ...I'm in a size 8 or 10 in pants..but my top is still in about an 18.. it really sucks! BUT I did buy me a pair of levi stretch jeans size 8... It made me feel better!! LOL I haven't worn levis since 1976!! So even though I'm stuck right now... I'm still smaller than I've been in almost 30 years. I just keep going like I've been doing and hope that soon it will continue on the downward slide.. Good luck on your weight loss! try to keep positive about it! Anna

I know what you mean. I am 16-18 top and 8-10 bottom as well. It does suck! Hazel

Lori, I'm sorry to hear you are on a stall. I was on a three week stall and I just busted into Onderland this week with a loss. For myself personally I don't think I was drinking enough and I was allowing to many carbs to sneak back into my diet. I also started excercising more and shook things up a bit and sure enough the scale moved. I'm sending you positive energy that the scale moves SOON!!!
