Vegas Question-Ms. Tiffers
Girl:
Make sure you DEFINITELY want a tattoo (that goes for Kristi, too!). I had a nice little butterfly on my ankle. Then in a fit of post-partum depression, I decided to get a HUGE butterfly over it. I HATE it. And I am in the process of having it removed. Which, truth be told, hurts 100 times worse that it did to have it put on!
I am all for tattoos...just make sure you are POSITIVE about it!
That is my 2 cents...
Hugs,
Jersey

I will be bringing my DH most likely. BUT he doesn't have a problem with me going off with the whole group or part of the group if we want to do something. He will entertain himself just fine! lol When we were going to go to San Deigo I would have been by myself..lol but NOO Not VEGAS..he wants to go too!
I agree with Carly, and I agree with Dawn....
I just want to know what others are planning on doing...
I love to shop, but money is always tight...
and I don't gamble, so that is not what I am interested in.
I love shows and exploring what is available, but I think it is much more fun to go with a few people than to try to strike out on my own...
I think we should find a little of everything for everyone, and maybe just let each other know what we would like to do, then if anyone else is interested, they can make plans to join in.
I just hope that everyone is welcome, the more the merrier... especially since we can all relate to the social issues that we are trying to claw our way out of.
I know that I will give all of you girls every opportunity to enjoy yourself in my company, because I know exactly what it feels like to be the one left out....
And I WILL NOT BE THAT WAY! My size has always been a social handicap and I HATE it...
It is time to start over.... With love....
Angela,
Thanks for that wonderful comment. I love the shows and the spas and will definitly visit them. I know Ronna wants to go also.
I've never had that many friends due to my weight and I think it'd be fun to all hang out and fun in Vegas!!
Thanks to everyone *****sponded, it was appreciated.
Carly

Hi Everyone,
I am on another business trip, to Texas this time where the gas is FORTY CENTS cheaper than it is in Chicago. I was quite disturbed by this.
Regarding an itin, here are my thoughts....I planned to outline all this in one email once I get firm booking procedures but since the question has been raised....and know this is just my initial ideas, we can modify however the GROUP wants it.
We have a hotel contract (which I have signed personal and my corporate liability that we'll show up) for 26-28 January. You can get the group rate a few days before or after.
I have booked a meeting room for a reception on Friday night. The hotel waived the mtg room rental charges ($800) but we'll have to pay for food; I plan to solicit sponsors for the few hundred that will cost. If we dont get a sponsor it may cost $50 each....thinking cash bar as most likely wont drink.
We have a 20% discount for the spa provided 10 ppl get treatments. So a sample weekend itin could be:
Friday - 26 Jan
Arrivals, check in, spa time
6:30-8pm - opening meeting reception
Group dinners - we can approach this a few ways...we all go togehter or break up into separate groups and hit a few restaurants, perhaps meeting up later at some club?
Saturday
Breakfast from 8-10am (we can buy bkfst coupons in advance for $17, more on that later)
Spa time
Groups for fun things: sightseeing, shopping, walking around, spa
Lunch = togehter or on own?
6:30pm Meet in hotel bar
Dinner on town, repeat one of the variations noted for Friday night
Sunday
Breakfast (as a group or on our own??)
fun event and departures on own
These are just my initial thoughts to put out an outline. lets toss out ideas from what you see on the website. I have been talking to the hotel concierge and a friend who works for the CVB (convention visitors bureau for those not familair with travel talk) to see where we can get group discounts. Discounts seem to run 15% for shows, etc...
Knowing there are different interests we can break into groups for dinner/shows so people can see and hang with who they want to (and meet new ppl) and then we can all come together.
I did not book a hospitality suite to hang out in, it was $800 and I was not sure how keen ya'll would be on a group fee for the reception and the hang out area...I figure we can use the bar for that kinda stuff.
Thoughts? I hope you agree this general framework gives us quality group time as well as individual time. Overall this is what we make it so lets pull together and make it fabulous.
Do we have creative people in the group who can help with name badges and maybe a program?
jersey Mom is wokring on a website for us to post this kinda stuff so its a quick refernece rather than missing posts and having to dig for it.
We will release it next week, I wnated to get all details in order before putting it out there to minimize confusion.
LMK any questions, ideas or concerns. Its going to be a fabulous weekend!!
ps - this afternoon I wore my swimsuit at the resort pool, they have a lazy river rafting thing we all did, I was feeling good about being so open in public - Yay!!!
Hugs to all,
Tiffers T
