Feeling Lonely

Wendi, You are definitely a vital member of our little group. I am unsure of coming to the Vegas trip because I already have a trip to Vegas to the National Finals Rodeo planned for next year for my 20th anniversary. I told my husband it was a trip for him, so we'd go somewhere he really liked. Several women in my family have a surprise 50th birthday trip planned in October to NYC for my sister. I'm hoping to have plastic surgery in the summer of 2007 while I'm off for work. I wouldn't have brought my husband to Vegas, because he would probably be working. Staying in a room by myself would be preferable, I guess because none of us much have met and 3 days w/ a stranger who you may or may not like rooming with might get a little weird or stressful. It would be much cheaper to split a room. I also feel that the point of the trip was to be together a good bit as a group. Otherwise, I've been to Vegas before, and I'll be going in December. I think it could be a great weekend, depending on how it is arranged/planned. I am flexible, but get teased in my family for making vacation itineraries. Karla

Wendi.. don't fret hun... There are alot of us that haven't really connected with any one person on the board! I haven't connected with anyone person. I was planning on just hanging with the group or if once we all get together we connect then we can hang that way.. I think we will all make sure no one is left out!! Anna

Hey Wendi, The only thing set in stone is the date and the place. I'm coming alone as well and you are more than welcome to hang with me if you don't mind hanging out with an "oldie but goodie":lol" I would love to see Blue Man Group while I'm there and spend some time at the spa other than that I'm open. I am planning on getting in on Thursday and staying a couple of days longer for a real vacation so I'm open to ideas This is an "Everyone is Included" event!!!! Regards and hugs, Ronna

Ronna, I would love to see "Blue Man Group" also. Wendi, I was feeling the same way that is I way I posted that post earlier. We can all hang out together and do stuff then. I'd also like to go shopping.

Carly you're on! Why don't we see if we can get a group together that wants to see "Blue Man." Then we can see about getting tickets in advance. I tried to go in 2000 which was the last time I was in Vegas but I came down with a bad case of the flu and hardly left the hotel room. Hopefully this time I'll have some fun. Ronna

Wendi, I know how you are feeling too. I havent gotten super close with any one person either, but if I can swing this trip (depending on $$ situation) I hope to make lasting lifelong friends with those who are like myself.....OBESE!!! If I can go I would love to hang out with all of you!!! Hi Wendi: You know? I sincerly think that you are through another stage of your journey. I was deeply in depretion las week, and I don't suffer PMS Hold there, you are going out of all of this very soon. Wendi, I am right there with ya girl, that is why I asked my dad to join me because I feel more comfortable knowing I have him around in case I do get left out. I don't have any one person I am particularly close to either, and I guess my insecurities kicked in so I asked him to come with me. I would not be strong enough to make this trip alone, I am still very much the "big fat shy girl" in my mind, and probably would get left behind. I plan to join the group for all that is planned, but dad's there for a backup plan I guess. He doesn't mind one bit cause he goes to Vegas at least once a year! Karyn
