Last trip to the "Fat Lady" store

Before surgery, I would go shopping w/ family members, and if I needed to go to Catherines or another Plus size store, they would just let me go in and called it the "Fat Lady" store. Yesterday I had a card for $15 off of a purchase of $15.01 or more, so I thought I would go use it. I had a hard time finding anything I liked to use it on, because most of the clothes were TOO BIG! I finally found a shirt I really liked to wear to a wedding w/ a black skirt I already had. I actually bought it a little big, because I bought the smallest size they had it in. I tried on a couple of other things, but didn't like them because they were too big. I guess that is my last trip to Catherines. Yeah!! Then I went to Dillard's and found they had a lot of really pretty clothes that I could fit in. I limited myself to one blouse. I also bought a pair of black dressy shoes w/ heels (heels I used to avoid) to wear to the wedding tonight. Hopefully soon, I won't even fit in any plus sizes. I know most of you are already down past this, but I'm only 1/2 way to goal and still have another 90+ lbs. to lose. Those of you that started out as "light weights" be glad, your almost there! PS - my husband was shocked at the difference in my size in the past 2 1/2 months when we picked him up at the airport yesterday. Karla 337/245/150

Karla ... That is great news! I still look in the "big girl" sections at most department stores, but have told myself I'm not going to the big girl specialty stores ... ever again ... LOL Glad you found some new outfits. I have some things that I bought last month for vacation and they are already getting baggy ... not complaining too much though! Keep up the good work! Debbie

Karla, Congratulations on your last trip to the dreaded "fat lady" store. Isn't it great finding that there are other places to buy clothing. Also, you mentioned that you are "only" 1/2 way to goal. You should say "I'm ALREADY 1/2 way to goal." That's a great accomplishment. Keep up the great work. Kathy
