Hi everyone! Boy did I miss you all and I was only gone for the weekend! My dad and I left at 2:30 Friday morning and got into Ellensburg, Washington around 5:30 that night... When we got there it was really sunny and many of the Washingtonites were complaingin about the heat! It was like 85 degrees and here in Cali, that day was 106, so I was loving the 85, I admit, I was even a *****illy! LOL!!! But in the truck, we had the air conditioners going full blast to keep my bunnies cool... I had 15 cages full of bunnies (3-4 per cage) plus two tables, suit case, feed for them, the truck was a bit full he he he. My dad was super tired since he drove all the way, so I was only able to run a small percentage of my animals on the table (I run them to stretch their legs and get them confident on the table). So we left around 7:30/8pm and ate dinner- I had an egg and tried some bacon- ick! Finally got to the hotel by 9:30, dad was konked out as soon as his head hit the pillow lol! I was asleep by 10:30. Back up at 4:45 to get ready for the show, went to Starbucks and was at the show room by 6am... there I finished running my bunnies and sold some *ka ching!* lol The show started at 8am. My breed had a total of 115 entered- the most ever at a State Convention in the Northwest!!! Our judge was from Missouri, and obviously had a different judging style and preferance than what I breed for My rabbits held their own though, you can't pass the buck on a quality animal, it makes you look at it and hand it the blue ribbon. Alot of my stock was a bit immature, so that's ok.... Here's a round about list of my placings... (Junior= Under 6 mos of age, Senior- 6 mos and older, Buck- boy, Doe- girl BOV- Best of Variety-color) Jaci's Off Broadway- Black Junior Buck 1st Place! Jaci's Forever Love- Blue Junior Buck 2nd! Jaci's Ooh La La- Chocolate Jr. Doe 2nd (SO should have been first ) I did REALLY well with my favorite color- Gold. All the babies I showed were in the top of their class, so if I entered say 3, I got 1,2,3!!!!! I was SOOOO happy for them! I also sold my first place junior buck, he's going to a great family in Montana, that was Jaci's I Got Rhythm Wiebensohn's Dixie Chick- Lilac Senior Doe- 1st Place, BOV!!!!! She has Wiebensohn's as her prefix because I bought her from a breeder named Scott Wiebensohn of Wisconsin. It pretty much went down hill from there lol. I entered animals in all seven colors.... but the Gray and Tortoise varieties aren't very strong right now. I'm working on that now I didn't win Best of Breed, but my animals held their own. They've come a LONG way since my tragedy last year, so next year I should kick some bunny butt! Since my breed was frist, I didn't have any time to socialize lol So after the show, we were loading up the truck to head back home and I asked my dad if I could go say good bye to everyone... he let me (while the truck was running of course ) So I started in a big circle and it seemed that everyone from California or those that knew me had to stop and tell me how "fantastic" or "great" or "small" I was looking! Some said they didn't even recognize me until they saw my rabbits' ear numbers (I have an ear number system... all end with a J lol!) The last person I saw was our great bunny friend Jeanie. She got all teary eyed and told me how well I was doing and how beautiful I was all the while playing with my hair. She's one of the best people you can ever meet. She got both my sister and I hooked on the big French Lop rabbits.... but I got rid of mine about 8 years back lol. LOL, she told me next time she sees me better be a show and I better have a boyfriend to carry all of my rabbits then she wanted a wedding invitation. I told her, first lets get a boyfriend! LOL!!!! She recently moved to Oregon, so I'll have to go up to some Oregon shows next year once I get my man I'll get some pictures posted soon. Right now, we're getting ready to head off to choir practice and then to dinner to celebrate my grandma's 84th birthday She's still super active!!!!! Then its back to the daily grind tomorrow... but thankfully I don't have to work I'll be finishing up my homework that I didn't do lol! I just wanted to check in with you all and say I'm back! I'll catch up with all the posts tonight while house sitting You guys rock and I hope you didn't miss me tooooo much Love ya! Jaci

I understand the heat thing, I mooved from a small town outside seattle and am now in fort worth texas. Its SOO HOTTTTT. Unbelievable. The longer Im here the more used to it I become. In washington its rare to have an AC unit in your home. Its not even standard on most vehicles there, Glad your little furry friends did well!! Elsa
