Happy 6 months out to you all
Hey Everyone!
Although I don't get to get on here often, I just wanted to send a general "happy 6 months" to everybody. I guess while I am officially just a "lurker" and I dont know you the way you know each other, I wanted each of you to know how proud I am of what you have accomplished and how much you have helped me.
I love watching how you change with your pictures (I cant figure out how to add those!) and seeing the new "you"s appear. You will forgive me if I dont use names, because I would leave someone important out--but I love watching you experience dating and fashion successes and tenacity to overcome problems. I worry over those of you in the hospital or upset over other problems. I get excited watching your weight challanges and see how I stack up against those. I quote you when people ask me about issues I'm dealing with because I know, since you are sharing your experiences that my eating issues are okay and normal.
As I read today's posts, I couldnt help crying over all your successes and setbacks. Being able to check in on you guys has made the horrible stresses I have gone through easier because you tell me over and over (through your posts) that my problems arent as bad as they seem and I can get through them.
So, to make a long post short, thanks to each of you for all you have done for yourselves, your families, your children, each other and, lastly, me. Congratulations for the hard work. Who of us could have ever thought 6 months ago, at the beginning of January, that we would be sitting, on the 4th of July, newly Independant Persons, capable of taking charge of our destinies and liberated from the tyranny of weight and self destruction. What a glorious anniversary for each of us to celebrate!
(and especially those of you who were reborn on the 18th with me!)
Hugs to you all
Love
DeAnna

Hey Debbie!
If only I paid more attention! I spent all last week in Owensboro at an Arts Academy for teachers at the RiverPark Center. It would have been a perfect week had I not had a close encounter with a not-so-friendly state trooper! What I would have given (for about 38 seconds) to have snuggled up to the buffet at Moonlight BBQ. Instead, I struggled to get half a dinner plate down--and keep it down!
Hope you guys have had better weather today than we did!
hugs
DeAnna
