Surgery Anniversary
Well, today is the day ... my 6 month surgery anniversary. I had hoped to have lost more weight by now, but I won't complain too much as I weigh less than I can ever remember! As long as the weight is coming off ... even slowly, I will be happy! I had to go this morning for by 6 month blood work. I go to the doctor in 2 weeks for my 6 month check up. I will get the results of the blood work then. I hope all is ok with that and I won't have to take any additional supplements. I'm also really hoping that I will finally get off my blood pressure medicine. My BP readings have been good lately and I've been having some dizzy spells when I think my BP is actually a little low at times. But my BP always seems to be higher when I go to the doctor. I have an hour drive to get to the dr. office and I guess I make myself nervous during the drive. LOL
Has everyone had good 6 month blood work-ups or any problems?
Debbie
Happy anniversary Debbie. My 6 month blood work was pretty good. My iron was still a bit low and they are still watching my HDL/LDL but other than that it's great. My blood sugar is in good control for the first time in 19 years
and that in and of itself is a major victory for me. I'm off almost all meds and feeling really great
What more can I ask for
.
Make sure you tell your doc about the dizziness, your BP may be too low. I've been off my med for that since the surgery and my pressure has been great 100/70
Good luck on your bloodwork!
Sending hugs,
Ronna

Happy Surgiversary!! Can you believe that 6 months ago we were in hospital beds with lots of tubes and wires coming from us? It seems like yesterday but also like years ago. I, too, am a slow loser but happy with my decision and what I have achieved. If I had not done this I'd be well over 300 lbs and having an even worse summer than I did last year - and fortunately that is NOT the case!! A very important and wonderful part of the journey has been the comraderie and friendship of everyone on this board. It has brought depth and soul to the process and made it a more enlightening experience.
Hugs and love to all,
~Tiffany
