OT: I get the HORRIBLE MOTHER award today!!!
I'm literally
as I type this. Today before we went to the pool, I stopped by Walmart and grabbed a bottle of spf 30 lotion. We were in a hurry, so I really didn't read the bottle. As it turns out the bottle of lotion I grabbed was indeed an spf 30, but was NO****erproof. We spent the whole afternoon out in the sun with literally no protection. I am so upset at myself because both of my daughters are pretty sunburned. Makenna's face is as red as a beat, as well as her shoulders. Leanna's face and back are fried too. Both are running low grade fevers now, so they each got some Tylenol, and I gave them both cool oatmeal baths tonight. We've been forcing popsicles, juice and water into both girls. I certainly couldn't handle the added guilt if they were to dehydrate!!!! Now I tan once a week at least (it really helps with my acne), and even I got red today. Both of the girls have been rubbed head to toe in a skin coolant (I had a bottle from when I worked for the tanning salon) that has aloe in it.
Hanging my head in shame....and heading to
here shortly!!!

Aw, Susan,
We all make mistakes sometimes... the sunburn will fade soon. In the meantime, get some 100% aloe gel... usually it has no color and is a bit pricey, but worth it! It soothes the burn so much better then the green goop with the added stuff... also it will help moisturize the skin, so the peeling won't be as dramatic.
Take care, dont beat your self up for it.
