The Heatwave Has Struck

And it has struck hard. Yesterday was 97 and today's forcast calls for a high of 100. Now that is not normal for Chicagoland And if I can't be near water, I don't like temps that hot So I have been hiding from the heat......thankfully I have my treadmill so my excersise doesn't totally go down the drain. But I want to go outside and not feel like I'm going to melt Right now some snow sounds mighty good

Ronna, I can't imagine it being that hot in Chicago. Is there at least a breeze? It has been hot here in Alabama. It rained yesterday and people walked around in it without umbrellas. It is so dry here. Beth

It doesn't happen that often, but when it does it's just miserable. There is a breeze but it doesn't help much. They are calling for rain on Tuesday and that should help bring thngs back into the 80's and that's more like it

Hi Ronna, It is extremely hot here also in Upstate, NY. It was 90 yesterday and today 92. I'm happy to be inside with the air cranked. Stay cool! Carly

It's been awful here in Pittsburgh, too. It in the mid 90s; but very humid. I mowed the lawn earlier today and thought I was going to 'die'. At least I'm 85 pounds lighter than last year I talked to my dad in South Dakota and it was cooler there today than yesterday. Yesterday it was 107 and today it was only 101.........but it's a 'dry heat'..........LOL I agree with you, Ronna, snow sounds mighty good right now............. Rose

It is sweltering here in Nebraska as well. We went to Hastings today and it was 109 in Wal-marts parking lot. What was surprising was that it wasn't humid and it usually is so humid here. I don't like extreme hot or extreme cold. But I am almost 90 pounds lighter and that helps. Hazel

I hear ya Hazel, I think I stepped in a puddle of my A$$ that melted off here today!! Can we get some wind and rain please??? Hang in there sweetie I am dealing with the same swelter, but we will make it through!!! Steph
