Hot & Humid!

I've been gone this weekend, and I saw in your postings over the weekend about it being hot. Boy, are ya'll all right! Unfortunately here in East Texas, not only was it 107, but 80% humid or so, too. We rarely have non-humid days. I generally make it a point to stay inside when it's sweltering, but we were in Jacksonville, TX for a baseball tournament. No avoiding the heat. We did sit up on a hill in a little shade at the games. I don't know why any of us females fixed our hair and put on make-up, because you just sweated it off! We sure were glad when the games were over so we could get in the car and turn on the air-conditioning. Everybody stayed in the same motel, and the motels were booked up, and I don't want to stay at that place again. I've gotten spoiled w/ Priceline.com and 4 star hotels. They are the same price as this skanky place! It was nice to get home to my own bed. Today I am taking my niece and nephew back to Houston to meet their mom. I'm glad I got to keep them for a few days! My son has to be measured for a tux for a wedding next month, so we are also going to Men's Wearhouse to get that done. I went to my husbands family reunion on saturday and it was hot!!! We were at a park in arlington and I think it was 103. Im from washington state where the gas stati0on runs out of Ice if its in the 80 too many days in a row. This heat is too much. My crazy husband was playing basketball!!! Silly old man!!! Elsa
