Guess What I Did Yesterday?!?
Hey all!
So you wanna know what I did yesterday?!?
I went to my company's picnic at our local amusement park, Kennywood Park!!! I rode every ride that I wanted to and had sooooooooooo much fun!!!!!!!!
I walked around all day in the 95 degree heat with ridiculous humidity and drank lots of water and a fruit smoothie... I ate dinner with everyone and had no issues!!
The excitement of this is that 6 years ago I went to an amusement park with some of my other friends and it was traumatic. I could not fit on some of the rides, but instead of telling them why I couldn't go on them, I lied and said I didn't want to ride. I was so embarrassed and humiliated at that point and I refused to ever go again. But this year I wanted to go and prove to myself that I could do this again. I wanted that personal WOW moment in this case. I felt ready for it and was I ever! I rode roller coasters and spinny rides. I rode the water rides and the merry-go-round. I had the best day with my friends! Drama-free fun!!
I wanted to share that with everyone! I promised Jaci I would last night, but I was whooped. So here it is Jax!!
Love you guys and hope everyone had a great weekend too! Tomorrow night is the baseball game and this Saturday is the Dixie Chicks concert!! I can't wait!!!

Hey Amber!
All good stuff. Isn't it wonderful to be a participant instead of a spectator? I'm very happy for you.
Be Well,
A.J.
PS - Are you going to the Pirate game? I was at PNC Park during the 2004 season and had one of the best times I've ever had at a baseball game... We we're actually hoping for extra innings just so we could stay longer!
Hi AJ!!
Yep, went to a Pirates Game tonight. We lost to the Rockies 13-4 but I love the park and had such a great time! PNC Park is just gorgeous... but I wish the game was better (common thoughts of Pirate fans!)
I love taking part in my life. It's a huge change for me. When I was asked why I wanted to have this surgery, I said simply and very matter-of-fact, that I wanted to actually live my life instead of just existing. I am working more towards that everyday.
Have a great day!
