A little prayer please???
Dear Friends:
I know I haven't post for some weeks. I have been MIA focusing in some personal business that are consuming all my time and efforts. When I have a little bit of time I have visited the board to check it out about the status of all of the people that I care here.
I received an email from Sandy, you know her she is GaryG's wife. He is the friend that has had the cancer surgery and had one kidney removed.
I thought to share it with you due to the fact that I know there are a lot of love and support here. Please help me out with a little prayer for him and Sandy. They need us more than ever:

Hello everyone,
It is 3:20 a.m. Friday morning and I just got home from Blodgett hospital. This past week Gary has been running a low grade fever and has had discharges from several of his surgery incisions. On Tuesday, two different doctors sent cultures in to check for infections but we had to wait until today to get the results. Yesterday, the nurse who has been coming in twice a week was very concerned about the yellow discharge and contacted the doctor. Gary also spoke with his bariatric doctor, Dr. Baker, who strongly encouraged him to contact the hernia doctor. Dr. Baker felt it was very important that he get a CT scan.
So in the afternoon, I brought Gary to get some blood work drawn and picked up a bariam solution that he had to drink prior to the scan. He had the scan at 10:00 this evening. We were told that we would have to wait about 45 minutes to hear what the doctor wanted us to do but within 10 minutes they came and told us that we had to go to the emergency room to be get Gary admitted.
The hospital's surgeon who came to talk to us explained that Gary has 2 abcesses, a MRSA infection (which is a type of staff infection), and has a large area of "free air" that should have been released from his body weeks ago. The doctor said that based on what they saw on the scan he would expect Gary to be much sicker than he appears to be (which is hard to imagine). Because Gary's vitals were okay, they decided not to do emergency surgery last night. Instead, they got him on an antibiotic drip and then moved him to a room. In the morning, Dr. Foster (the hernia doctor) will be coming in and then a plan of treatment will be presented to us. I have basically come home to shower, pick up a few things, and then return to the hospital because I need to be there when the doctors come in.
Please continue to pray for us as the saga continues. Pray for God's healing, strength, patience and wisdom for both of us and the doctors. Thank you.
Sandy
