Has anyone ever considered a personal trainer?

Just wondering if anyone has considered a personal trainer? I just joined a new gym and may I say I love it. But I have noticed that even tho I am down almost 80 pounds and 70 inches I still see my self sometimes as the old me since I am still carrying all the weight in my bust, abs and hips. I know with time they might change but I am so scared that I will never lose that part and then will have to have the plastic surgery to correct it. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Suzette

Suzette, if you can afford it, having a personal trainer is the best thing you can do for yourself during your journey. I have one and I owe quite a bit of my success to him. He has motivated me to work harder and to be more consistent with my work outs. I started with him in March and at that time I was totally decided that I was going to need a TT, Boob job and have my arms done. Now at this point I'm only going to have my boobs done for sure and I keep flip flopping about my tummy, only for vanity reasons. My arms a much more toned now and even he says I'm not going to need surgery on them. I started out with little or no muscle tone and absolutley no balance. Now I'm doing exercises I NEVER thought I could do. This is going to be weird to say but I actually feel a little dissapointed when I'm not sore after a good work out. I am in no way an exercise fanatic. I moan and groan when it comes time for me to work out and I probably give him a real hard time but deep down I'm grateful for the opportunity to work out with someone that has given the direction and a goal. Not to mention he is pretty good looking too... Disclaimer: this is my opinion only... * I'm only telling you my side and feelings about this topic and only you can make the right decision for you... Good luck with your decision process. Dana

Hi Suzette...I know just how you feel! I still see myself the same way as well. I just started with a personal trainer last week, and already I am praising him. He really works me hard and encourages me. I can't wait unil I start seeing some progress. I thought I would need a TT, but I'm hoping my stomach isn't too pudgy as I through my journey with him. I would highly reccomend it, but don't forget you have to make the decision for yourself. Oh, and my trainer is quite a cutie too! April

I've considered it and think it's a good way to go. I on the other hand, feel for me it's easier to exercise early morning when I get up, but I don't have time to go to a gym, come back home, get ready, and get to work. I bought a DVD called "Chicometrics" that I heard about on OH. It has a simple workout and a harder workout. It was developed by a college coach named Chico Caldwell, henceforth the name of the program. It is small movements of muscle groups w/ lots of repetitions, and works well. A lot of people say they have lost 2-5 inches or more in the first couple of weeks. It says to do it 3 times a week and add a cardio workout such as walking along w/ it. I think it's chicometrics.com It's about $25 and may be a good place to start if you want, or go for the personal trainer. Karla 337/227/150
