HELP!!

Well everyone is telling me I going to have to cut my hair off short. I haven't had short hair since I was in 3rd grade. And to top it off my husband doesn't like short hair. But I know I need to cut it off it looks TERRIBLE!! But how do I cut it, what style? My hair is natural very wavy. Please anyone have any ideals. and also is anyone elses hair fell out this bad?

Michelle, I had my hair past the middle of my back for years and decided that I needed to cut mine too since it was already falling out. I had about 12 inches taken off and it is just above my shoulders now. My husband doesnt care for short hair either but he really likes the change! Pay the money to go to a top saloon. You need someone who knows hair and faces to do the job. Only someone who works with it can really say what will look best on you. My best friends hair fell out bad enough to have it cut real short, pixy style. But something like that doesn't always make the hair look thicker. You might be able to get away with a layering, to make it look thinker, that is what I did. It is only about 4inches shorter than before, but is up to my shoulders. Remember, it grows back. Take biotin to help the new hair grow in faster and the hair to grow long faster, that is all it is good for. But it does help with that. My new hair growth looks to be about half an inch now. It is getting there.

Your hair should start growing back soon. In the mean time, perhaps you could just wear it pulled back to hide the loss. Also, try to get some protein treatment (either at the salon or at a beauty supply store and you could do it at home) This will prevent breakage from wearing it baack in a ponytail or such. Sounds like you don't want to cut it? So, don't... BUT, if you do really want to cut it... then I would agree with the other post: go to a professional who specializes in great cuts. You can also pick up a short hair style guide from the magazine section of walmart for ideas.
