I was just wondering if anyone else has been having any episodes of dizziness. This last week I find myself having to hang onto something when I get up to stand. I am just wondering if maybe it could be due to the heat and dehydration. I have been upping my liquids the past few days but I still seem to get them occasionally. Anyone else going through this?? Thanks in advance. Steph

It could be a few things... I get dizzy (especially when I stand up quickly) when I am not eating enough calories. It also could be lack of fluids. How many oz of water are you getting? How many calories daily? Try those things and see if it helps. Take Care! Mary

Thanks Mary, It probably is not getting enough calories a day. I am still having issues with being hungry, but I do try to get my protein in. I am getting around 70 oz or more of wter a day though so that is helping, but I am upping that too. Steph

Your fluids seem to be on track... unless you are outside often, I would guess it is more of a calorie issue then it is a hydration issue. Our bodies run off the fuel from calories. If you don't get enough it becomes week; and a sign of that is often dizzy spells. I hope you can overcome this. Often when I am not hungry and dont feel like eating I will have a protein drink or a power crunch bar to up my calories in a healthy way via protein.

Up your carbs. Whenever I am having dizzy spells I take my blood sugar and it is always low...if I up my carbs the dizziness goes completely away. Dawn

Steph-is it possibly low iron? I ask because you said you have had AF for a week, and I am anemic and get very low iron during my time of the month and have dizzy spells often because of it. Have you been tested for anemia? Good luck! Karyn

I get dizzy spells often. Most of the time it is low blood sugar but sometimes it's my blood pressure dropping suddenly. These are both things that you can keep track of at home. If your not feeling better in a day or two I would call your doctor and get checked out just in case Take good care of yourself. Sending hugs, Ronna

That is a good idea Ronna. I do have a glucometer here at home and a blood pressure cuff as well, I will keep an eye on both for a while and see if that may be the culprit. Great advice everyone thanks!!! Steph
