How much do you still have to lose?
I used to weigh 433 day of surgery. I now weigh 317 total lost is 116. I am 5'7 and my goal is 180-175 so that being said I still have 137 to go
I know, I am a bum, but I swear I work my butt off at curves and walk 2 miles daily. It really goes to show that my eating is out of control for me not to be losing weight. Yesterday I posted my bad eating habits "public shaming" great idea! So today I have had 1 slice cinnamon raisin toast and 3 egg whites. 2 scoops 23g Nectar Fuzzy Navel at 6:30 am Walked my 2 miles, went to work and had breakfast which was the toast and egg whites. No water yet, thanks for the tip for atleast 1 hour more. My breakfast was at 8:30 am. Later all gotta get back to work

Please don't say you are a bum!!!! I'm posting the same message to you that I posted to Angela...
Please don't get too down on yourself! You made an amazing decision to improve your life and you are doing it. One pound at a time, one meal at a time, one bottle of water at a time, one workout at a time. Who cares if it takes you 6 months or year or 18 months. You made this decision for you, not for anyone else. Be proud of you for taking charge of you!

no one gave me a goal, either---not my surgeon, PCP or nut-- I asked my surgeon at my 6 mo what he thought about 160 and he thought it was great---in my heart of hearts, I'd love to be 150--but let's re-evaluate when we get to 160! I'm at 195, so that's 35 pounds.
My current goals are: 190 by the time I go back to work (in 2 weeks) and 180 by October, 170 by Thanksgiving--I'd like to be at 160 by Christmas--sounds easy, but that's 35 pounds in 4 months---16 weeks at 2 pounds a week would be a good, steady loss and I'd be ecstatic if I achieved it over foodfest (my name for Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas; all eating holidays)!
Long anwer, short question!

What a great post, Bridget, and I love your new picture, too.
Its exciting to read everyone's successes and finally the remaining pounds are lower than those we've already lost.
I am a slow loser. My surgeon begrudgingly gave me a goal weight of 140, I say that because he did not really want to put a number on me but I pushed. He says it will take 18 months. I was shocked at the low number, I thought 150-160 would be my target. If I get to 150 I'll be very happy.
Surgery day weight was 280, I am now 205 so 55 more to my goal, 65 more to my surgeon's goal. That does not seem so far away, actually. And its definately much better than the 150 I once had to lose!!!
