I have had these cravings for carbs so bad I can not control them I am so scared that I am going to get Big again it scares me but not enough to stop Help!!! I have lost a total of 110 since surgery and I am down to 210 but I know that it could be more if I was doing what I am suppose to be I am exercing I have been running my dream for years to be able to do so without feeling like I was dieing. Ok hope to hear from all of you thanks Michelle
Michelle, I have been in your shoes. I'm still in them!!! I fight the craving for carbs EVERYDAY. It's just that they're so good and so easy to get down. Last month, I was overdoing it, and I think that's what slowed my loss down for that month. I confessed to my dietician, and I felt better. But knowing that I only lost like 3 lbs. for that month really put my behind in gear
. When I want to eat carbs, I'll drink something or have some fruit or cucumbers instead. Cheese has become a best friend of mine at this time also. I've gotten a lot better, but it's stilll a struggle. You're not alone whatsoever. Just try to fight it, and just think about what you were before and what you'd like to do in the future. Also, don't completely abandon carbs but just take them in more moderately. Hope this helps. And email me anytime so we can go through this together girl.

I scared myself for a while too. I was getting sloppy and putting those carbs in my mouth. I have regained controll now. I did it by posting what i ate every day to a friend on here. I also joined the weekly challenge so I have to report my progress each week. I am doing much better. I have lost a steady 2 pounds a week. (except this week - I lost 0) For some reason being accountable to the friends on this site helps me win!
If you want to e-mail me your food intake each day - I'll be here for you!

Hi Michelle! You are so close to me!!!! There is a support group tomorrow in Modesto that is great... its by Memorial Hospital- email me for more detail
The group is tiny, but the ladies and rare gents that show up are great! They might be what you need. I was hooked on carbs last week, ick... all I thought about was I want a chip. You'll get over it... drink more water
LOL

Michelle,
I think this is something that we all deal with. The hard part is to find something that will satify you and not sabatoge the weight loss efforts. For me it's been sf popscicles. Sometimes I just need to feel like I'm eating something and they seem to do the trick. At least right now.
Best of luck to you and do hang out here with us. We will try and get through these hard times together.
Regards and hugs,
Ronna

We are all going to have to live in the real world someday and that means carbs. There are good carbs and not good carbs. Look to good carbs when you have a craving. Try a piece of whole wheat toast with a small amount of jam on it. It wont hurt that much if you count it in for the day. If you mean sugar cars, eat jello or SF pudding. Are you stuffing yourself with the carbs? Then try just a bite and then on to something else. Or have it as the last bite of the meal.
We can't live without carbs, so we need to learn how to live with them. We aren't suppose to be dieting anymore, we are changing our lives and how we live with food in them.
Don't beat yourself up. Did that keep you from gaining weight before? Then it wont now. Eat carbs, just find a good way to do it.
And stop saying cheating, that is the old way of thinking.
