Just got back from the NYS fair!

Hi all, I just had to share what a great time we had! We went up to Syracuse for the state fair for two days and had a blast! Of course the food was one of the best parts, but I still tried to make good choices and I did ok! They actually had Perry's S/f ice cream, and most everything else I had was protein, although I did have some salt potatoes(YUM) and some cheese fries, but with all the walking i did, I am not worried! The highlight of the trip by far was that Hanna and I went to see Billy Ray Cyrus(for those that don't know, he is now on a TV show with his real life Daughter called Hannah Montana, on Disney channel.) After the concert we stood in line for over an hour and got his autograph and Hanna got her picture taken with him! How cool is that? I must admit, I never was a huge fan but that man is HOT!!! Another great part was that I got to join Hanna for any ride I wanted to! I fit on everything! That was such a great feeling, and we had the time of our life! We watched the Sea Lion show, the Horse shows(of course) and went to visit some of the other animals. All in all it was a great time! Wow Karyn he really is hott. Why didn't you get your picture with him? Your daughter is beautiful... Just think you were only 3 hours away from me...We could have met up or something. Thanks Chris and Ronna, I know I should have gotten in on that pic, I totally regret that I didn't, but I was very hesitant to trust anybody in that place, it was CRAZY! I didn't need someone running off with my digital camera! Karyn

Karyn, Sounds like you had a great time. Hubby & I are going on Monday. We have tickets for Carrie Underwood--I love her music. We're not really "fair" people, but we decided to go anyway. We're staying overnite at the Embassy Suites--we've been there a couple of times & love the atmosphere. Syracuse is only 2 hours away, but decided that we didn't want to drive home that late at night. I have loved Billy Ray Cyrus since his silly song came out (geesh, I can't even think of the title). He is sooooo cute. Kathy

Syracuse is also two hours from me, but we spent the night too! It would definitely be too long of a drive, and besides that fair is way too big to see in one day! I wanted so badly to see Keith Urban and Little Big Town the night we were there but the tickets were way too much and I had spent so much on other things already!Have fun when you go!(by the way, it's "Achey Breaky Heart" ) Karyn

Hubby & I debated on which show to see. He really likes Little Big Town & I like Keith Urban, but we both like Carrie Underwood. It was easier for him to get time off work on Mon & Tues anyway. Yes,,,,,Achey Breaky Heart--that's it. It was such a silly song, but he "performed" it so well. Wowsa!! Kathy

Hannah and Billy Ray are so cute together. I used to watch his Sunday night show "Doc". Glad you had fun. Karla
