So, Jen Jen...how did yesterday go?
Hi Jersey,
Thanks!
I think it went well. The guy said I was really good, whatever that means. They asked questions and I answered. I also took a pair of before pants and held them up. I can fit into the one leg so it is pretty dramatic when I hold them up. I printed my profile and some other before pictures I have and took that so they could see the changes.
They wanted to know:
- what the catalist was that led me up to making the decision.
- my story of becoming obese
- how my life has changed
- was I happy with the decision
- what would I change
They also asked if I was going to pursue plastics and I said after I reach goal. They asked if I would be comfortable "showing the skin" and I said yes. I really do not care if the whole world sees the jiggles. I think it would be a great part of the education process. SO many people seem to have such issues with the way the skin looks. But what would happen, what happens when you take the air out of a balloon ... that is the same thing that happens when you take the fat out of the skin.
The project is for a pilot docu-series for TLC. My surgeon is part of a father/son team, so it will feature their practice and patients. They are looking for all stages, pre, post, those trying to decide if it is right for them, people seeking plastics, etc..
I think it will be a great POSITIVE project for WLS.
My tape is being sent to the producers and then they will decide if they want me. They are going to try to finish the pilot by the first week in October. So, I would think that I would hear something soon.
God Bless!
Jen
Jen:
Thanks so much for letting us know how it went! I was thinking about you last night and was really anxious to hear how the experience was!
That would be so fantasic if you could be included in the show. I participated in a grad student dissertation but TV is so much cooler and everyone loves the TLC channel!
Girl...you look so fabulous I am sure they will pick you! Here's hoping, anyhow!
Have a great day and, again, thanks for the update!
Hugs,
Jersey
