Plastic Surgery
Hi all! Anyone else considering plastics? I have started the research process- yes I know, I'm not at goal... but I want to be prepared with knowledge on all procedures and doctors in California by the time I'm ready for them. I know I'll most like be able to get the apron of skin removed from my tummy through insurance and my father is looking into other procedures since he chats with the insurance people at work often, lol.
I'm looking into a lower body lift, the upper arms and for vanity, breast augmentation. I've never had 20something breasts, so its time! LOL!
OH has a good site for Plastic Surgeons and that's where I've started my research, but if anyone else has any other ideas for me, please shout them out!!
Love you all!
Jaci

Hey Jaci, you can go do some research on the plastic surgery board
http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/plasticsurgery/ also post this message on the Cali board to hear abour people who have had surgery in your neck of the woods. I did the same thing and I have a consult with Dr. Kent (so I can be a Kent girl) next week on the 6th. I too am looking for a lower body lift and a breast lift. I might just settle for a tummy tuck tho since the Dr. that I'm looking at using does both a TT and Breast lift/implats at the same time. Since I'm self pay I know that I want things done in one session to cut down on costs of the hospital stay and anestesioligist. (SP) Everytime I work out with my trainer he tells me to put off the lower body lift and just have the TT and boob job, he thinks he can work my butt to the point that I wont need the lift. He also worked the heck out of my arms so now I don't feel like I absolutely need to have an arm lift anymore. I still have lose skin on my arms but no where near what it was when I first started out. One of these days I will take a picture of the gun show for you guys to see
Best of luck on your journey, it's good to do some reasearch and be prepared!

Jaci,
I'm starting my research as well. I start a brand new job on Tues. just so I can save up some money for it. I retired from my first job and was only working part time for the last 4 years. I took the summer off to have fun and now I'm ready to get back to a real job.
I'm way older than you, so I'm going to need a facelift as well as tummy tuck, breast lift (hopefully no implants) and my arms done. I'm not going to worry about my butt because I can't see it...lol I'm thinking it will take me about a year to save up enough and then watch out---the "Sexy" Kathy will make her appearance...

I'm going for the TT but hopefully insurance will pay for it. One thing you want to start doing now, to get insurance to pay for it is to go to the doctors and start having him write down if you have rashes from the sweat...if they start documenting it by the time you go for insurance you'll have a better chance of them paying for it. It has to be something that is medically needed, and don't call it a TT...I think it's call a palendectomy or soemthing like that. I plan on that and getting the boob lifted and that's about it. I figure since I am working out everything is shrinking up pretty good. Good Luck and let us know what you find.

See, Kelli... I've been very fortunate not to have any rashes or anything.... Well I take that back, I had one about 2 mos post op. BUT... what about discoloration from the bloodthinner shot they gave me in the hospital? I have a silver dollar size dark spot on my apron from the heperin! It never went away!
