PB?
I see people doing this to break a plateau, but is anyone really on a plateau? A plateau lasts 6 weeks or more with NO weightloss, not a slow down or for no loss for a couple of weeks. Then I see how people are not happy with only a 3 lbs loss in 10 days. I am worried about this. I see everyone trying this going back to bad habbits of dieting and getting upset over the lack of progress.
Our bodies are going to find a weight we were at for a long time somewhere in our lives and it will sit there for a long time. Whether you do the PB or not, you probubly would have lost the weight you do on it. If you all notice something else, how many are doing this now? Do you see a trend? Maybe it is normal to stall at 7 to 8 months out. If that is the case, all you can do is follow the rules you were given and wait.
Please don't set yourself up for a disapointment with the PB. Just hold on and wait and realize how great you have done, that keeping up with it will contimue to make you successful.
If you are really worried, change up your exercise routine. That is probubly the best thing you can do. Also, make sure you are gettin in your water. I mean water, not crystal lite or anything else you might be drinking. Water, really, is the key.
I am just writing this because I am worried about everyone. I don't want to see you fall back to the feeling of failure and of dieting. We all have changed how we eat. Even when we don't make a good choice, we still don't eat the whole bag of cookies. We also make the right choice the next time. I know I would never do this before.
So please, take a deep breath and relax, we are only, at the very most, less than half way thru the ride.
Thanks for listening.
Thanks Kristi I guess that is a great way to look at it. What is frustrating is the slow down and seeing people lose 20 pounds or more in a month...The most on average for me is 10-13 pounds and this past month is slow because I have only lost a couple of pounds so far. I am just trying not to eat the wrong things and paying more attention to what I am eating. Today I actually drank 64 ounces of WATER.
that is the first time I have done that since surgery so I guess if I don't lose a pound in the next 10days at least I know I can drink my water.... And boy was I in the bathroom all day. I also hid the scales so maybe I will not be so focused on the weight....I do appreciate the surgery and everything it has given me....Especially the care and concern from others. Thanks for caring...
~~hugs and well wishes~~
Chris

I only loose 10lbs a month, at the most. Yes it bothers me sometimes, but guess what? As of today I am down 93lbs!!!! I have to look at that, and know more is going away. But I wont say I want to be such and such by a date either, just that I want to be such and such, and I will get there, and so will all of us.
Maybe now that you can get in the 64oz. of water you will loose more.

Hi Kristi! I totallllllly see and understand your point. I think I jumped on the bandwagon because "everyone else was doing it".... I haven't seen a change now that I'm eating better and not dehydrating myself... but I'm eating better and drinking and that should be what counts right?
You are always there to put me back on track mentally... thanks alot!
