Playing on EBAY
I thought I would give it a try. I've heard such good things from others who have sold almost anything and everything on EBAY. So I thought ,"What the heck?"
Anyway I have so many "almost new" sweaters and sweatshirts that are all size 3X. I swim in them now and just can't bring myself to keep donating them.....So I gave it a try.
I have 6 items listed and already have bids on 2 of them and there are people watching the other 4
This is really exciting. With all the clothes I own I could start a small business
Anyway, cross your fingers for me peeps.
Sending hugs,
Ronna
I've been thinking about this, too, and you've given me the push to check it out. I have so many suits and such that I cant just give them away.
I've also heard of organizations that help underpriviledged women with interview skills and help them get jobs, some also have clothing banks. But now that I am trying to find them its been a chase. I could give them away knowing they were helping someone change their life...
Stay tuned!
Ronna...Way to go...I just started Ebaying (Selling) the last couple of months and I did a buy it now option and had my lot of 6 tops sell within 1 hour...For more than I would have ever gotten in a garage sale...What's your ebay name and we can check it out..Mine is Ladybugmom65....
Good luck
~~hugs and well wishes~~
Chris
I'm a lazy sot, too, especially with things like this.
Last night I found some women career assist center websites and wrote to ask if they accept clothing donations. As long as there is a tax donation receipt involved and pictures of the stuff, I will give it away, especially if it helps underpriviledged women get some momentum.
One that came up is Dress for Success. The Chicago chapter says they have too many clothes but there are chapters all around the country.
I went on ebay this morning, so many clothing listings and they were all so nicely done, I would not compare. And I ended up bidding for two tubes of the face product I like.
