Home From the Doctor Update
I saw my surgeon again this morning. He did the biopsy on the lump and that went well....didn't hurt at all. This guy has golden hands.
The good thing is he said the tissue was soft and that's supposedly a very good sign. He said lumps that are cancerous are typically "hard as a rock", to use his exact words). We should have results from the Pathologist by Tuesday.
So I am feeling pretty optimistic about that
On the down side, he couldn't do the biopsy on the left side cause you cant feel anything there. He said it was calcium deposits that showed up on the mammogram.
Anyway, I am waiting to hear back as to when I can go back to the "Woman's Center" at the hospital for them to biopsy the other side. And once that is done I will get scheduled for surgery to do the lumpetomy later in the week. This way if we have to remove something on the left as well we can do it all at once......which is a good thing I think.
Anyway folks....that's the latest.
Sending hugs,
Ronna

Well I have been home sitting by the phone waiting for the call about when my other procedures will be. I called them about 1p.m. and still nothing. So I have some info. Tuesday at 10:15 I go back to the "Women's Center" at the hospital and Dr. G will do the biopsy on the leftside. Then Friday, I will have at least one lumpectomy yet, but I don't have a time as yet.
At least now I don't have to wornder all weekend about when the heck I'm gong to get scheduled.
OKOK, I am just the worst waiter in the world, and not the kind that serves you dinner either (although, to think about it, I'd stink at that too
).
Have a great weekend everyone!
Ronna
