123 losers.....22 days and counting!!..new year's resolutions?

Happy New year to all of us!! Curious..are we all making that same resolution? I am NOT! Let's face it..we've made the same one for years and never did it, let's come up with some new ones! My new one is... To take better care of myself..make me a priority for a change. Not to feel guilty because I actually dared to spend money on myself..I know....me, me, me. Hi Nicole I am with you on this...My resolution is about ME, ME, ME and did I forget to mention ME! I am so tierd of putting everyone else first in my life including my husband! So I already explained to him it is now about me and what makes me happy. I feel exactly like you do when you said "To take better care of myself..make me a priority for a change. I haven't made a resolution since 1986. So, I'm not going to really going to start now. However, I do like the idea of taking care of myself and not feeling guilty about it. I'll just thinking of it as surviving!!! Hugs, Dianne

Nicole, I have tried the resolution stuff for years so I agree with other and with you...it's all about me. I can resolve to lose weight without this surgery so here is my kick in the butttttttt. Nicole, my resolution is the same every year, "to go on a diet". Well Jan 23rd is my diet day-lol So this year the only thing on my mind is to have surgery and to get through it one day at a time. And...............to buy new clothes at regular price. I am always looking on the clearance racks for myself saying I am going to lose weight so I am not going to spend $30.00 on these jeans-lol I am still at the same spot last year(well no I have gained weight) So this is to all of us and wanting to make ourselves HAPPY!! My resolution is like most of y'all, Take care of ME!!! I have given my life to my 4 kids, even hubby was put in the background, after all, we chose to have them so we must do everything we can to take care of them. Well, their time is over, and hubby and I can begin a new phase in life!! A new life and an old me. I resolve to give my husband back the "bubbly" person he married!! She won't ever be young again, but she can regain some of her zest for life and fun. I let hobby get old, stogy and and set in his ways, but now I'm gonna shake things up! I'm gonna spend a little money on ME. WE are gonna start living life as it should be lived, enjoying the heck out of it!! Patty **16 days and counting* PS: I have alread splurged on some new jewlery and some silky gowns for me, I know I will "under" grow the gowns, but I am gonna enjoy the heck out of them for as long as I can!! I can sew and take them up as I decrease, and when I can't anymore, I will buy something else!! I AM WORTH IT!!!
