I am officially on my pre-op liquids for 2 days and I am having serious withdrawls. I'm agitated, dizzy and HUNGARY. I'm trying to enjoy these 2 days before surgery to reflect on all the upcoming changes but with the hunger pangs it hard. I feel too weak to pack, but I'll have to do it. Thanks for letting me whine.

Hi Michelle, I start my liquid diet tonight after midnight. I'm not looking forward to it as I have to work all day. Just think soon we'll be on the losing side. Hang in there, it is so worth it. Carly 2 days to go

Two weeks before surgery I will be starting a full liquid and then a clear liquid diet. From the 10-16 full liquid (strained cerials, milk, juice ect.ect.) then the 17-23 I will be on clear liquids. The dietition told me find something to do that week, because it will be hard. She said to keep your belly full of water as much as you can. Then you dont get so hungry. My time is coming in a matter of days. lol

Hang in there Michelle! It does get better. Not, "Gee I could live like this the rest of my life." better but better! How long is your pre-op diet? Hopefully you're one of the lucky one's whose pre-op diet is only a few days or a week. Carole 310/294/154

Hang in there!!! I have the same date as you and I have been getting really agitated. Have you tried Protein Shakes. It seems to last longer. Yesterday I thought that I good do slim fast all day. HAHAHAHA. I was starving. I have been staying longer hours at work to keep my mind off of being hungary. Last night I went to the store just to look at skinny clothes. Walking around the store gets me excited. Good Luck!! In 1 day we will be on the losing side. Jenn

Try to do something that requires you to use your hands, and eyes like gardening or even cutting pictures from old magazines. Keep busy doing a craft, create. Make sure you are getting all your protien, vitamins, and H2O. Meditate and think about all the positive things that are instore for you. Remember that there is a balance: when it is bad, next things will be good.
