Hi all: good to see so many with this month date. I still cannot believe that I am doing this!! My nervousness has settled down, or I am doing my ostrich thing, I don't know which but I feel o.k. now. I have never had major surgery, but I have always been a fast healer so hopefully that will be so again. I am now trying to focus on getting work wrapped up, housework and mostly the rest of the protein drinks, etc. I live in Canada and have not seen sugarless popsicles. I have heard so much about them. I know that I can make some but they would be pretty handy to have at first. I will have to have one of my "support system" pick them up while they are over in Michigan. I am so thrilled that my family has just stepped up to help me out for this! They weren't crazy about the whole idea at first but realized that I always research big decisions and trust in my decision. All the best to us all!! My birthday is 2 days after surgery so it will be my re-birth day!!

Congrats on the date Pat and happy early birthday too!! I spent the whole weekend before surgury cleaning my house and boy was it worth it. I got to come home and lay on the couch without thinking about everything that needed to be done! Very refreshing! They gave me a sf popsicle in the hospital but I wasnt really thrilled with them. I normally chew popsicles and had to make sure I just sucked on it. Now the sf jello on the other hand rocked! I think its my new favorite food, lol! Best of luck to you and keep us posted! Pat, We have the same re-birth day!! We can be big losers together! My son is going to be 9 on the 24th and he says he just wants me home feeling better and playing board games with him. (we have tons of them and they added to their collection over the holidays - I've played one new every night this school vacation lol) I wish you the best - I know if you are like me you are excited and nervous all rolled up together. Hugs, Julie

ME TOO, ME TOO! My big day is also Jan 17. I keep trying to pu**** to the back of my mind, but it has a way of rearing its little anxious head now and then. It is so funny to see that I am not the only one cleaning closets and stuff like I am getting ready to bring home a new baby! This is SO much better than a new baby!(I'm looking forward to grand babies though) Best of luck to you and to all who are undergoing this tremendous journey.
