I got my green field filter in today and am home safe and tired. Got my time to be at the hospital at 5:30am Monday Jan. 9th, and surgery MAYBE will start at 7:30am, if there are no emergencies for the doctor. I am really excited, and looking forward to starting a healthy new, smaller size life. God bless each of you for your support and prayers, and YOU know God will bless you for your support of me, and I remember each of you daily in my prayers to our Lord. Think I will go to bed early tonight, tomorrow is the pre-op prep day 1, and Sun. is prep day 2. So I won't be doing much but visiting the bathroom for the next 2 days. Thanks for all the support, you don't know how great it is to have all of you their for me. Hugs, Lynda P.S. My friend Heather is also having surgery Monday at AMC in Atlanta, so don't for get her in your prayers also.

A green field filter is placed in the large vein in the abdoman to prevent any pulmonary embolisms, since I have a history of leg blood clots, this is a safety precaution for me, and I thank my surgeon for being up on all of the latest safety precautions. And I am sure you will do fine, God bless you and you will be in my prayers on your day. Hugs, Lynda

I'm having mine done the day before surgery as my insurance wanted a day earlier admit for the filter. Fine by me btw. But now I have to do the mag. nitrate on Sunday and then clear liquids - having the filter in on Monday clear liquids and spending the night and surgery Tuesday a.m for WLS. Maybe my nerves on that last minute won't get the best of me. I've had a history of pulmonary embolisms and this eases my mind. Glad everything went well for you Lynda.. Good luck as you begin your journey! Hugs, Julie
