Only 9 more days....

After having known my surgery date since August, it is quickly approaching with only nine more days left! I have been waiting for what seems like such a very long time for this that it seems kind of surreal that my surgery day will soon be here! I am working all week up untiil Sunday 1/15 and that will be my liquids only and milk of magnesia day.... I still have a few things to do, like figure out what I'm going to take to the hospital with me. (Is anyone beside's me going to be taking their laptop?) Just wanted to post real quick and say "Hi" to all my fellow January friends. ~Teri~

Heehee, I brought my laptop! Didn't have internet access but I brought a couple of dvd's to watch to pass the time. Barely cracked open my book and honestly, never changed out of the hospital gown they gave me. It was much easier to have it on since they had to keep lifting it to check my drain and gave me blood thinner shots in my tummy. I put on sweat pants the day I came home. Oh! Blistex! My life saver! Other then that I waaaay over packed. My husband laughed at me the whole time. I did bring a blanket from home which was nice and the hospital provided me with a robe to wear while walking the halls. Hi Teri! I think these next few days for us will seem to go slow as well but when the day is here we will wonder where the time went!! I wish I could take a lap top with me! There is a public computer with internet access in the lobby of the hospital so I may waddle down there if I feel up to it just to say hi! I iwsh the best on your surgery and a fast recovery! deb
