I'm right behind you....there's a lot of us this week - Dave, Claudette, Stephanie, Kristi - and ME! Today I went to the vitamin shoppe and bought a lot of stuff - they have a vitamin fortified water which will be good for post op, isopure, a good selection of vitamins. I bought just limited quantites to try everything and kept reminding myself that my new self wont consume as much as my old self! I'm very against aspartame and have not ingested any of it for years. My nutritionist is freaking out at the list of recommended products and tells me that large quantites of aspartame pre or post op will bring on major headaches. The alcohol in it goes to the brain. So her advise is to choose products with splenda which is the lesser of the evils. Isopure and Jello SF pudding (premade) use splenda as do some of the low sugar sports drinks. Ya'll thought I was nuts on the no garlic/ginger thing, too, so take this as you will. No matter what I am still sticking to my organic roots thru all this! We're almost there and it feels sooo good to be walking away from the old ways, problems and issues and into the new self. Its going to be a week of pain, growth and new beings. Here's to the year of US! Yahoo!!
