3 days to go

I started my countdown over the weekend and now have 3 days to go. Pre-testing was last Friday and very thorough. I saw a nurse, nurse anethesiologst (sp?), med student (Newton-Wellesley is a teaching hospital), the surgical resident who is responsible for my post-op care and then had blood drawn. It took a little over 2 hours, but was worth every minute. I shopped over the weekend for all my supplies and food. (First time I've bought baby food in 27 years!) and stocked up on soups, protein drinks and juice. My surgery is scheduled for 7:50 AM on Thursday and I need to get to the hospital around 6:15. I've been rather calm up until yesterday and didn't sleep very well last night. I guess it's to be expected. I've also received some wonderful messages from other forum members and I appreciate each one.

Linda, You and I are having surgery the same day!! I will be checking into the hospital on Wendsday so I will get all my pre tests then. My surgery is is on Thursday but I do not know what time. I assume early in the morning.The hospital I am at is also a teaching hospital. I am excited, nervous, scared, happy,sad, and ready all at the same time!! We are going to do great!! 3 DAYS YIPEEEEEE!!! Best wishes deb
