1) Does or did anyone else have problems taking in enough protien and fluids? I get so full and have no appetite, let alone not wanting to make myself sick. Do I have to force it even if I'm full? 2) Does or did anyone have a problem with their nose running all the time? It's driving me crazy!!..lol Lisa

Hi Lisa 1. Yes! but I'm working towards the goal and yesterday got up to 51g of protien so I'm almost there. I understand the "full" part. I've been using Isopure for most of the protien as it's clear liquid. I mix equal parts with crystal lite and lots of crushed ice and then I just sip it all day. One bottle has 40g. My favorite combo so far is Alpine Punch with Lemondade Crystal Lite. Very refreshing. Have had no problems with the fluid. Just sipping all day and nite. Peeing alot but getting it in. 2, If you were on O2 in the hospital this is just an aftereffect and you'll get over it in a day or so. Regards and hugs, Ronna

GNC carries them. They are price, about $3.50 a bottle but I have been using one a day. You can also get them online but they are glass bottles.

1. Me me me! I am supposed to have three protein drinks a day (20 g each) and three snacks. I have managed 2 shakes and 2 snacks. I spoke to the nurse today for my check-in call and she said I am right on track, as long as I am attempting to get more in each day not to worry, everyone has issues the first couple of weeks getting everything in. I sip on water all day so even though I am not drinking as much as I did pre-op I am literally drinking all day long so I am not worried. 2. I don't have a runny nose, but a cough and ooh that pulls the stomach! Nurse said stuff like that was just part of coming back from surgury. Make sure to take those vitamins though, will help our bodies in the fight to heal and not catch anything else. hugs, Beth

Thanks Lisa for the questions. Even though I can not help you with the answer, as I am pre op, the answers were very helpful for me as well. Thanks, Dawn

The Vitamin Shoppe also has Isopure and some waters that are vitamin fortified. I'll be on liquids for a week post op with no protein OR vitamins so I am excited about the bonus water.
