GOOD NEWS AND A LITTLE BAD NEWS

Rosa, Hi. My surgery is the 26th and I am in the same boat. I have to start my liquids the 17th. I also have my preop that day, so I'll be eating my last meal in this phase Monday since I have to fast before the preop. I think the other people here call this hell week. I think they are probably right since it will be much easier to eat next to nothing AFTER surgery--but before we still have that big stomach to fill and, for me, the incessant cravings. I am hoping for that 20# loss on the liquids. It's giving me a chance to keep trying protein drinks, too! So far I've found two that I can do pretty easily. (Nectar Natural Peach and Whey Fruity) I can't stand the vanilla and chocolate things! But I'm determined to make this successful by doing everything they tell me. I just keep looking at everything the post-ops say---it's all worth it. I cannot wait to be a permanent loser for a change. I am working on changing my mind, too. I realized the other day just how much I depend on food for my stress. It's scary to REALLY see that light. I mean, I knew I was a stress eater before, but.... Anyway, I am just two days behind you!!! I wish you the best and send you my prayers. Together we'll all be as "pretty" on the outside as we are on the inside! Maggie
