I have been sleeping on my side since being in the hospital. I was told I could lay anyway possible. I even laid sometimes on the side of my drain tube.

My doctoc didn't say anything about it but I gave it a try and was very uncomfortable. Last nite was nite #8 in the recliner for me

I am a week out and it still hurts to lay on my side. Laying on my back sucks as I never used to sleep on it. So I'm propped up on the couch asleep or in bed with tons of pillows on my back. I would lay on my side if I could, I didn't have a restriction from the DR. Michelle

I can't really lay on my side either. I have tried for a few minutes at a time. I actually sleep in a recliner, the last two nights I have slept on my back for roughly 3 -5 hours. My right side really hurts but I do a stretching exercise everytime I get up to go to the bathroom that is starting to help. Standing in the shower made my muscle stronger too!! ::hugs:: Cyndi

Amanda thanks for asking that question since I was wondering the same thing. I am one to sleep in the fetal position. So sleeping might be a major challange for me. -Sue
