Hello everyone: Well, Iam jumping on the band wagon.. my surgery is January 24th at 12:30 pm. I can honestly say that reality has not really set in yet. I wish I could say that Iam super excited, but in all reality Iam pretty nervous. When I was younger surgical procedures did not scare me one bit. Now that Iam older I must admit I get queasy even at blood test's. I have a certain calmness about me, so that is good because I know that God is with me. He gives us the peace that passes all understanding. Iam also nervous about all the big changes that are going to take place in my diet. Iam not nervouse about the foods that I will be missing out on but rather on the scant amount that I will be taking in at a time. I know as these last few days before surgery wind down I will be doing lots of thinking and pondering. When the final day arrives I pray I have the strength to go threw with it. I know I must do this because my life and health depend on it. I have very bad arthritis, sleep apnea, and severe depression so I cannot turn back I know in the long run everything will go fine I have such great support, especially those on this board and in the chat room of OH. Well hope everyone who's surgery is on Jan 24th have a truly uneventful surgery with a miraculous recovery and much more a brand new HAPPIER LIFE. God Bless all of you.

I am on the 24 too. I have to be at South Nassau Communities Hospital at 8:30am. I live only 10 minutes away so it should not be a problem to get there, even if it ends up snowing. I have every confidence in my Surgen Dr. Vohra, and I am going nuts with the waiting around for my new "Bandday". So lets hoist a liquid to our day!!!! Sandra
