Sleeping position changes
I am wondering about my sleeping position changes. I am a chronic tummy sleeper.
I can't help it. I try to sleep other positions and I wake up on my tummy and my back hurting.
My husband is nervous about my "dirty hole" and poking me
I told him not to worry I am more worried about the morning pain from waking up in a weird position.
I thought about a body pillow to put between us for support for me. My honey loves to cuddle when I am fast asleep.
hhhmmmmm

Hi Deborah! I started sleeping in my bed 2 days after I got home.... I have always slept on my tummy too. I tried to sleep on my back, but ugh, so not comfy... So I kinda modified a side sleeping with a pillow folded around my belly area to support the incisions... so far so good. I didn't sleep with pillow last night and everything was peachy this am.
I do wake up often in the middle of the night and move to sleeping on my back, then to the side, back and forth (can't wait for a restful night sleep
)... I hope this info helps a little bit, lol

I slept in my recliner part of the first night. But I have been in the bed most of the time. Flat on my back seems to be okay for now. I can't sleep on my left side for some reason, that is where the drain was but when they removed it, it's still a little sore. I do okay on my right side with a pillow for support. I can only do that for a few hours. I'm counting the days till I can sleep on my tummy again. Good luck to you and here's to a speedy recovery.
