I NEED HELP, VERY NAUSEAOUS

First of all, how do you spell that correctly? Just doesn't look right. Second of all, I am 4 days out from open rny/Gall bladder surgery. I am very nauseated all of the time and smells are awful too.. Same sensation as morning sickness. Anybody got any good ideas?? THanks

Well, I can help you with the spelling: nauseous. (You were close!) As for the nausea, maybe from a pain med? I would call your surgeon and see what they say. I'm sure it won't be the 1st time they hear this.....? Christina

i feel the same way as you do. my dr has me on medicine for that. i was givin a script for that at the hospital. i hope you feel better. how is you walking doing? dave

Hi there. My surgery is next Monday but I hear that it is normal to have some nausea for a while. Your doctor may call in something, like David said. Some doctors give you something for that. Also, they say that morphine can make you feel that way as well. What are you taking for pain? Best wishes. Keep us posted.

Sorry I'm a rotten speller Try peppermint tea. That's what I use. I was really nauseaus in the hospital and had to get shots for it and a bit the first day home. Now I'm OK thankfully. Hate the feeling. The tea does work for me though. Hope it helps. Regards and hugs, Ronna

Well, first of all thanks for the correct spelling. I have it written down next to my computer . Also thank you so much for your ideas. I tried all actully and made it through Sunday until Monday AM when I called my Dr. and got a script. So much improvement. Still have nausea, but controlled now. I now love crushed ice, found that wintergreen tea is wonderful, (that one shocked me) and also the SF popcicles help alot.
