Dave, glad to hear you are starting to feel better. I was thinking of using our recliner for the first couple of days, too, especially since I'm a side sleeper and I think I'll be more comfortable on my back if I'm on a little incline. Can't wait to join you on the losing side. A little over 1 week left for me. Lisa

Yeah Dave, I hear ya! I'm still sleeping in the recliner too. I have a "lifted country style" bed.. very hard to get into, let alone out. I have been sleeping for 4-5 hours on my back on the couch, but then I have to get up. How are you doing with your liquid diet? Are you able to take in much? ::hugs:: Cyndi

Hi all, I am now 5 days out and doing very well but still sore and tired. Liquids go down great, they dont want me to have any protein shakes so its mostly diluted juice, broth (chicken and miso) and water. Juice does give me a bit of gas. Since I started liquids a week ago I am down 9 lbs!!!! I started all my normal meds the day after surgery so pills are the only thing I ingest besides liquids. Every time I sleep I have dreams about shredded cheese. Very odd but its really on my mind. Never before have I dreamed about food. On Saturday we went for a mile walk and then today I did about a mile and a half and went to the store. My shoulder hurts randomly and that's annoying. Sitting is the most uncomfortable position. From the start I have been sleeping in my bed, at first I was reclined but now lay flat for the last 2 nights and that's been much better for my ab muscles. I've been able to get in and out of bed on my own since the day I got home but its much easier now than it was a few days ago. I have a recliner but dont even consider it as it would be way too hard to get out of it. I walk, pace or prop against the wall for the most part. Every 4 hours I take two pain pills; still fuzzy in the head which is fine because this is technically my vacation! My pain has changed from trauma pain to healing pain if that makes any sense. Having ya'll makes this so much easier and I cherish our messages. Be well and strong, ~Tiffany
